This recipe is such a secret I only discovered it today.
This recipe is fast and simple, a little hot and spicy.
The fish I used today is called Basa. I never heard of it before either. It is farm raised in Vietnam. It was on sale too. Maybe not too many people know about it yet. Basa is a very nice mild tasting white fish fillet. The cooked consistency is firm yet flakes well.
First I get the pan started heating up, a 10 inch frying pan in this case. Next I put in about a half an inch deep Lemon Juice. Then about a dozen shakes of Tabasco sauce, a bunch of fresh ground Black Pepper and a couple Garlic Cloves mashed through a garlic masher.
Just cook it a few minutes on both sides and that is it. Simple. I think I am sweating a little from the Tabasco, excellent.
And what did I have with this delightful repaste maybe you are wondering? Wedges of Orange and Grapefruit. That’s all.
I am not so “scientific” that I counted calories here, but anybody can see this is very low calorie and highly nutritious. The whole production took about 15 minutes.
