Low Carb diets have become popular in the past few years, especially since the publication of the Atkins diet. Losing weight is a goal for lots of people. Everybody is looking for the quick and easy way to lose weight. Low card diets work for most people who use them.
There are many different diets including low carbohydrate diets. The truth is that most of them will achieve weight loss if they are followed as described.
This does not mean always doing exactly what the diet says all the time. What is more important is how you deal with the times when you eat too much or “pig out” on foods that are not on the plan. If you can write this off and return to the plan without giving yourself a hard time, you are likely to succeed.
Everybody has those days - the important thing is to let them go and accept them as just another step on the road to permanent weight loss.
It is also important to find a diet that you can easily follow. You have to like the food enough to eat it, right? Low carb diets work for many people because the rules are simple.
As the name suggests, the diet consists of avoiding or limiting foods that are high in carbohydrates. These include bread, pasta, potatoes, rice and other grains. Sugar and alcohol are also a carbohydrate. So cut these foods out as much as possible
Replace them with vegetables and high protein foods. Nuts, meat, dairy, and lots and lots of vegetables. Test a lot of different foods to find the ones you like. I can eat asparagus, celery, bell peppers, romaine hearts, almonds, peanuts, cashews, chicken, steak, salmon, trout, Italian squash all day long no problems.
Just remember: Your Body is Fresh and it wants MORE FRESH FOOD. Everyday.
I had to teach myself that and it took time to learn which fresh foods tasted good and were satisfying but I feel much better for doing that.
Do that, drag yourself out for some walking and find replacements for eating to feel better or lower stress and you will be skinny by and by.
